Newsletter It is imperative that students who pass the audition process and choose to participate in the RYO participate in their school orchestra program. These orchestras were formed with the idea in mind to be supplemental to a school program. They serve to raise the standard of playing in our public school programs. Support your school by playing in their orchestra program! Tuition Tuition for new members starting in December is $75 per member, with the second member of an immediate family paying $45. Attendance Policy Attendance to all rehearsals is the key to our youth excelling in orchestras. Two excused absences will be allowed; attendance will be taken every week. Please call either Mr. or Mrs. Barricklow or Mrs. Tripp with as much advance notice as possible to let us know of an imminent excused absence. Excessive, un-excused absences may result in a student being re-seated in the orchestra or surrendering his/her chair altogether. Inclement Weather Policy Should any of our rehearsals or concerts be canceled or postponed due to bad weather, please listen to 93.3 FM for cancellations. We will also attempt to E-mail our membership and in some cases we will implement the phone tree. Please make sure we have all of your important numbers and addresses! Concert Dress Performing attire for the orchestras is indacated on the calendar. Some performances will be with a Polo shirt (tucked in!), black pants, black hosiery and shoes, others will be with Tuxedo shirts, cummerbunds and bow ties, black pants or long black skirt, black hosiery and shoes. Vivace women will wear their concert dress, black hose, shoes and "quiet" jewelry. The cummerbund, tie, Polo shirt and Vivace women's dress will be available for viewing on the first day of rehearsal. Expenses associated with performing attire are as follows:
Measurements will be taken and orders will be placed for those students who need the above items.
